PureFolio Privacy Policy
Effective date: 5 September 2026
Last updated: 5 September 2026
1. Introduction
PureFolio (“PureFolio”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides portfolio analytics, market information, investment decision-support tools, historical signal tracking, portfolio monitoring, and related features through purefolio.app and my.purefolio.app (collectively, the “Service”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information PureFolio collects, why we collect it, how it is used and protected, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.
By using PureFolio, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account and identity information
When you create or access a PureFolio account, we may process information such as your name, email address, profile image, authentication identifier, account identifier, and sign-in information.
Authentication and account management are provided using third-party authentication infrastructure, including Clerk.
Google Sign-In information
If you choose to sign in using Google, PureFolio may receive basic Google account information required for authentication, including your name, email address, profile image, and a unique account identifier.
PureFolio uses Google Sign-In only to authenticate you, identify your PureFolio account, maintain your session, and provide access to the Service.
PureFolio does not use Google Sign-In to access your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, or other Google account content.
We currently request only the standard authentication permissions required for identity, such as openid, email, and basic profile information.
PureFolio's use of information received from Google APIs is limited to the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and is intended to comply with applicable Google API Services User Data requirements.
3. Portfolio and Investment Information
When you use PureFolio, you may provide or generate information relating to your investment portfolio, including holdings, securities, quantities, average purchase prices, broker information, portfolio allocation, investment horizon, transactions or trade records you choose to enter, responses to recommendations, portfolio preferences, and other information needed to provide portfolio analytics.
PureFolio may also generate information associated with your portfolio, including conviction scores, signals, recommendations, historical signal records, recommendation outcomes, action history, portfolio calculations, risk metrics, and related analytical data.
We use this information to operate the portfolio-management and decision-support features of PureFolio.
4. Market and Analytical Data
PureFolio may combine information relating to your portfolio with market information obtained from third-party or public sources.
This may include market prices, historical prices, technical indicators, market indices, trading-volume information, news or market-event information, and other financial-market data.
Market information itself may not identify you, but analytical results derived from it may become associated with your PureFolio account or portfolio.
5. Usage and Technical Information
When you use PureFolio, we may automatically process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the Service.
This may include browser and device information, IP address, timestamps, authentication and session information, request and error logs, security events, feature interactions, and other operational information.
We do not intend to use this information to build unrelated advertising profiles.
6. Cookies and Authentication
PureFolio uses cookies, tokens, local browser storage, or similar technologies where necessary to authenticate users, maintain sessions, protect accounts, remember application preferences, and operate the Service.
Our authentication provider, Clerk, may set cookies necessary for authentication and session management. Clerk states that its authentication cookies are required for its service to operate.
You may block some browser storage through your browser settings, but doing so may prevent sign-in or other PureFolio features from functioning correctly.
7. How We Use Information
We use information collected through PureFolio to provide and maintain the Service; authenticate and secure accounts; display and analyse portfolios; generate portfolio signals, recommendations, calculations, and historical outcomes; store user responses and trade records where those features are used; personalise application settings; diagnose errors and maintain reliability; prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorised access; respond to support requests; comply with applicable legal obligations; and improve PureFolio's functionality and user experience.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
We do not use Google account information obtained through Google Sign-In for advertising.
8. Automated Analysis and Recommendations
PureFolio uses software-based rules, algorithms, market information, historical information, and other analytical methods to generate portfolio insights and decision-support outputs.
These outputs may include ADD, AVG DOWN, HOLD, TRIM, EXIT or similar classifications, conviction scores, priority rankings, quantities, portfolio weights, risk indicators, and historical performance measurements.
These analytical outputs are generated from available information and may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or affected by market conditions or data-source limitations.
See the PureFolio Terms of Service for important financial and investment-related disclaimers.
9. How Information May Be Shared
We may share information with service providers only where reasonably necessary to operate PureFolio.
For example, authentication and user-management information may be processed by Clerk, and Google processes information when you choose Google Sign-In. Hosting, infrastructure, security, communications, analytics, or market-data providers may also process limited information where necessary to provide their services.
Clerk describes itself as an authentication and user-management provider and treats information handled for its customers as customer data governed by the customer's own privacy policy and applicable agreements.
We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, regulatory requirements, protect PureFolio or its users, investigate security incidents, or prevent fraud or misuse.
We do not permit service providers to use PureFolio personal information for unrelated purposes merely because they process it on our behalf.
10. Data Storage and Retention
PureFolio stores information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain account and portfolio history, protect the integrity and security of the Service, resolve disputes, comply with applicable obligations, or fulfil legitimate operational purposes.
Different categories of information may be retained for different periods.
Certain records, including historical portfolio snapshots, recommendation evidence, responses, trades, audit records, and security information, may be retained where preserving historical integrity is a feature of the Service or is reasonably necessary for security and accountability.
When information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymise, or otherwise remove identifying information from it, subject to technical, backup, security, and legal requirements.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.
These measures may include authentication controls, access restrictions, encrypted network connections, server-side storage controls, credential protection, and operational security practices.
No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security, and PureFolio cannot guarantee that security incidents will never occur.
12. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request information about personal data PureFolio holds about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of eligible personal information or your account data, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, or raise a question or complaint regarding the handling of your information.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Some information may need to be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, backup, or legitimate record-integrity purposes.
India's DPDP framework provides individuals with rights relating to personal data and requires clear information concerning the data processed and its purposes as relevant provisions become operative.
13. International Processing
Some technology providers used by PureFolio may operate infrastructure outside India.
Accordingly, information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country in which you reside, subject to applicable legal requirements and the safeguards used by those service providers.
14. Children's Privacy
PureFolio is not designed or directed toward children.
You should not create an independent PureFolio investment account or provide personal portfolio information through the Service if you are not legally permitted to do so.
If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child contrary to applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to address it.
15. Third-Party Services and Links
PureFolio may contain information or links relating to brokers, exchanges, market-data providers, news sources, authentication providers, or other third parties.
Those organisations operate independently and may have their own privacy practices.
A reference or link to a third-party service does not mean PureFolio controls that service or its privacy practices.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
PureFolio may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, technology, legal requirements, or data practices change.
When material changes are made, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
Your continued use of the Service after an updated policy becomes effective is subject to applicable law.
